nick cave & the bad seeds - dig, lazarus, dig!!

I have been a big fan of this record since it came out in 2007. I believe it made my top ten list of albums that year. "Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!" is one of Cave and the Bad Seeds finer collections. It sports the familar narrative style (the title track, "More news from Nowhere") of Nick Cave. Lyrics are sometimes sublime and clever, sometimes rough, direct and highly sexual or violent ("Today's Lesson"), but that is Cave for you. He is never one to mince words.

Some tracks are less narrative as much as hypnotic and trancy, such as ("Night of the lotus eaters"). Still others are highly melodic ("Midnight Man") and there are a few ballads ("Hold on to Yourself", "Jesus of the Moon").
