i am very fond of song lyrics and many of my favorite artists can pen a good ditty. i was trying to compile a list of great songs. here is a quick one - undoubtedly i am missing 100s of songs. please comment some suggestions.

  • led zeppelin - achilles last stand
  • bob dylan - tangled up in blue
  • roy harper - me and my woman
  • raconteurs - carolina drama
  • nick cave (cannot remember the song at the moment, i'll fill it in when i do)

(p.s. vince would probably agree that i am a streaky blogger - 3 one day, nothing for two weeks. mind you he also would probably recommend some obscure metal lyrics to add to this list)

my first year in surreal university, in waterloo, ontario, local artist osborne played in a dorm room lounge one day, selling copies of one of his CDs. i bought a copy and although it's mostly so-so, this hidden track is fantastic in my mind...
