all items are subject to a 5% GST chargewow, i thought that GST was still upwards of 24 or 25%. time to go on a mad GST cost savings induced spree... but i think i recall this actually...
Be all that you can be work at KFCThis is the first time in memory that something rhyming did not make it true. Now there is nothing wrong with people that work at fast food places, but: 1) I think that this is a ripped of army or navy message 2) Most people can be more than 'working at kfc' 3) If they probably can not, dare to dream bigger. Don't set limits.
an observation: in sci-fi shows, whether made 30 years ago or in the present and whether set in the past or distant future, the technology of flashlights has not evolved at all...don't believe me? watch anything sci-fi...you would think that in the future we would learn to modify the dual nature of light somehow...nope just regular old flashlights down caves and abysses and underwater and in space...
forced whispering (or unforced, though the social "norm") tends to make people ANGRY, or atleast angrier. whether at a library, hospital waiting room, church, etc... observe this for yourself...today i was getting a routine blood exam (i'm fit as a fiddle - don't worry) and saw a mom/daughter get yellier at each other in the lab waiting room while whispering...then i remember when i used to go to church...people would angrily whisper...and libraries...and Whisperteriums (i made that word up), but you get the idea
so i'm not sleeping tonight, apparently...so let's ponder: • wouldn't it be delightfully ironic if the writer's strike led to the end of television shows? not because there was no one to write them anymore (i'm assuming eventually the strike will end), but because in the interim, people watch less of the crappy stuff they have on to fill the void, and decide that they'd rather do other things then waste there lives infront of a tv set. • we all know that velociraptor's are to be feared (thanks XKCD, and other sites). but can they defeat chuck norris? i think so. one undebatable point is that it is raptor season, so think defense first. however, today my friend tristan and i established that really, raptor season is 364 days a year. they rest one day of the year....however, not all at once. it is distributed a couple minutes over each day of the year. remember velociraptors do not know fear....ah, delightful absurdity
